During my time in Arlingtonian, I had  an interesting amount of experience with online publishing and writing as a columnist. This experience has taught me embrace writing as a way to express one's feelings, experiences, and beliefs. That said, I also have learned that unless your goal is to be a non-offensive, politically correct messiah, expressing views on important topics is at your own expense. Regardless, it was a pleasant surprise to learn that some people were entertained by my writing.
